Why study in Lithuania?

Choosing Lithuania means choosing a pragmatic, career-focused approach to your education. Here is why it stands out for Bangladeshi applicants:

  • Affordable European Quality: Compared to Western Europe, tuition fees and living expenses are significantly lower, while the degrees hold the exact same European Higher Education Area (EHEA) accreditation.

  • English-Taught Programs: You do not need to speak Lithuanian to study here. There are over 500 study programs across various universities taught entirely in English.

  • Clear Work Rights During Studies: As an international student with a study-based Temporary Residence Permit (TRP), you have the right to work. Bachelor’s students (Years 1 and 2) can work up to 20 hours per week, while 3rd-year Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students can work up to 40 hours per week.

  • Post-Study Work Visa: Graduates from Lithuanian higher education institutions are eligible to apply for a 12-month Temporary Residence Permit for job searching, employment, or self-employment.

  • Innovation Hub: Lithuania is a European leader in Fintech, IT, and biotechnology, providing fertile ground for internships and post-graduation employment.
